Real Madrid swept the board at the Globe Soccer Award in Dubai on Monday night.
Ahead of their glamour friendly against AC Milan, the team was in town for the prize ceremony in which the club picked up an award as well as their being individual honours for Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, Carlo Ancelotti and Florentino Perez.
Following a year of incredible success, in which they won the Champions League, Copa del Rey, European Super Cup and Club World Cup, Los Blancos were named as club of the year.
Cristiano Ronaldo picked up the Best Player of the Year award, while Colombian playmaker Rodriguez, who joined Madrid in the summer, was given the Breakthrough Player of the Year prize.
Manager and president were also recognised, with Ancelotti picking up the Manager of the Year award and Perez being named as President of the Year.
UEFA boss Michel Platini presented Perez with his trophy and was gushing in his praise of the 10-time Champions League winners.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, listen please. Two important things about Madrid: the first is that it founded FIFA in 1904 and the other is that UEFA see it as the most successful team. “All of which means it’s a great club. Congratulations Madrid,” to told the audience.
