The Winter transfer market is open and the rumours spread across Europe. Real Madrid need to reinforce the attacking line and nothing is discarded in the club. The bosses are keeping a close eye to the market because the first months of competition haven’t been good and there were some errors in planning the squad. For this reason, the club might undertake some signings.
One of the options they have for the attacking line is Nabil Fekir. The squad needs another striker because Karim Benzema is not enough. Besides, Mariano Díaz has been injured most of the season and his performances haven’t been as good as it was expected. Another forward would increase competition and the quality of the squad.
Fekir plays for Olympique Lyon and his contract expires in 2020, so the club doesn’t have many options to get money from a transfer. The 25 year old French player is not a ‘9’, but an offensive player, so he would not be the perfect fit for Real Madrid needs. However, he has already shown his ability to score many goals, as last year he was able to score 18 goals in the French League. This season, he has only scored 4 goals in the Ligue 1, keeping the team in third position in the table.
Fekir is ding a great job in the last seasons with Olympique Lyon and the French team even qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League, facing FC Barcelona. Actually, the Catalan club showed also interest in the offensive player in the past, but now they are more focused on finding a midfielder.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid need to keep a close eye in the market, because a forward is needed. Gareth Bale or Marco Asensio are far below their expected level, so the club needs another player to score goals and keep Cristiano Ronaldo’s level in the past. Some rumours even linked Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Real Madrid, but the Swedish player has extended his contract with LA Galaxy.
