Former Barcelona forward Ronaldinho says current star Neymar will not leave Los Cules to sign for Real Madrid.
Rumours have suggested in recent weeks that club president Florentino Perez is keen on signing the Brazil forward in a moved that would be even more controversial than Luis Figo’s switch from the Camp Nou to the Santiago Bernabeu 16 years ago.
Neymar forms part of the MSN trio at Barcelona – Messi, Suarez and Neymar – which is considered by many to be the most feared strikeforce in the world right now.
Speaking on El Partido de las 12, Ronaldinho said he can’t see Neymar moving to the Spanish capital. He added that he hopes he can one day go on and establish himself as the best in the world having finished third in this year’s Ballon d’Or.
“Neymar is reaching the top, is making history and his time will come too. I don’t think he will go to Real Madrid. Hopefully, Neymar will be the best in the world, he’s very talented and is at the best club in the world. I think he’ll get there,” he commented.
Since signing for Barcelona in 2013, Neymar has won one La Liga title, one Copa del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup, the Champions League, the Uefa Super Cup and the Fifa Club World Cup.
