Zinedine Zidane will miss Marcelo, Gareth Bale and Pepe for the crutial derby against Atletico Madrid, so he will have to be creative again when selecting his starting eleven.
With the Brazilian left-back on the sidelines, Daniel Carvajal will most likely feature on the left, like he did against Athletic Bilbao, with Danilo coming in at right-back.
Raphael Varane returns from a one-match suspension and he is expected to feature in the centre of the defence alongside Sergio Ramos.
Aside from that, the main doubt is whether Zidane will lineup Mateo Kovacic of James Rodriguez in midfield. The Croatia international has been a starter in the last few games and he has put in some good performances. However, it looks like for the derby Zidane might opt to bring the Colombian back to the lineup. Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Isco will complete the midfield line.
In attack, Karim Benzema has recovered from his hip problems and is expected to feature from the start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. Meanwhile, Keylor Navas will start on goal as usual.
