Martin Odegaard will not stay in Real Madrid next year. The club and the player have decided that it will be better to leave this season and enjoy a lot of minutes in another team. The Norwegian player will leave on loan the club because Real Madrid still think that he could become a great player.
The youngster will not stay in Castilla, the second Real Madrid team, after failing to be promoted to the Spanish second division. Playing in the Spanish third division is not enough for his talent and it’s too soon to be member of the first squad. Therefore, Odegaard should leave the club looking for new opportunities.
The club prefers to give on loan Odegaard to any La Liga team. He could have the chance to adapt himself to the Spanish tournament and the club could keep a closer eye to his performance. Besides, there is a lot of competitivity in the Spanish tournament, something that could be beneficial for Odegaard
However, the player and his father prefer the Bundesliga, the German tournament. Some important European clubs are already interested in the Norwegian youngster and especially some German teams, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
Odegaard will start the pre-season training sessions with Real Madrid. Actually, Zinedine Zidane will take Odegaard to the stage in Montreal, Canada, on the 17th of July. Last season, Rafael Benítez also called Odegaard to the pre-season trainings in Asia and Australia.
Martin Odegaard is only 17 years old and he arrived to Real Madrid in 2015 followed by great media covering. He was the best player in the Norwegian League -he was playing for Stromgodset- and most of the best European teams wanted to sign him. Real Madrid arrived earlier and bought the talented Norwegian playmaker, who has already made his debut with the national team of Norway.
Comment:He is young and very talented player, madrid cant afford 2 loose a player like him. Let him (odegard) be loaned out 2 gain more experience and improve for the coming years.
