Cristiano Ronaldo’s week it’s being a week of really good news for the Portuguese star. It began with his renewal with Los Blancos until 2012, followed with the Di Stefano award to the best player of the last season and finished with an spectacular contract with Nike that the people compare it with the one that Michael Jordan did.
Now Cristiano is in Lisbon where he must play with his national team the qualifying matches for the Word Cup of Rusia 2018 and he answered questions to all the European journalists that were in the presentation of his new Nike boots. Cristiano talked about different interest topics as how happy he is because of the news of last week, if he will like to a be a coach, his relationship with Zidane and other topics.
Cristiano signed a contract that will maintain him at Madrid until 2021 (36 years old) and it’s inevitable the parallelism with Zidane. The journalists asked him if he will will a manager where he retire: “We’ll see whats going to happen, whether I’ll be a coach or anything else. I don’t really know it. But I can’t say you I will be a great coach because there are people who seem to be very good as a coach and they are not. I want to enjoy the present.
The Portuguese striker talked about his relationship with Zinedine Zidane:” We have a fantastic relationship. We won the Champions League last season. I was a Zizou fan when he was a player and now I’m even more fan of him as a coach. He is a very good person and very extraordinary coach”, Cristiano affirmed.
The journalist asked to Cristiano if there is any actual player that has the same characteristics as him to become the new Cristiano Ronaldo: ” No one can be the Cristiano Ronaldo. There are no doubles. I see in Europe many young talents as Renato Sanches, André Gomes or Joao. I only mentioned Portuguese young rising stars but there are many players in Europe that can reach a very high level.
Ronaldo just signed an enormous contract with Nike that resembles the one Jordan signes when he was a professional: It’s a great dream. It was a dream when I arrive to Manchester an Real Madrid, so imagine how I feel now. I’m vey happy to sign this huge contract with a brand that for me is the best. Working with them for me is spectacular and I’m very grateful with them”, Cristiano said.
