Isco Alarcón has still to renew his contract with Real Madrid, expiring in 2018. The footballer spoke recently about his situation at Real Madrid and he said there was no rush to extend his contract. His situation has changed in the recent times but there are also some other clubs interested in the Andalusian midfielder. Among these clubs is also FC Barcelona, who could try to sign Isco in a shocking transfer move.
According to the Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona are interested in the Spanish midfielder. The club has put the eye in the former Málaga player because his contract ends in 2018 and he has still to find continuity at Real Madrid. Besides, Isco is now only 24 years old, so he will be 26 when his contract expires, a perfect age to join the Catalan club. Then, Andrés Iniesta will be 34 years and he will be at the end of his career.
Isco would be the perfect replacement for Andrés Iniesta, who is currently injured and Barcelona supporters are missing him. It will be a hard transfer, because Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have not touched any rival player since Los Blancos signed Luis Figo back in 2002, starting a ‘cold war’ among both rivals.
However, Real Madrid and Barcelona are not only competing in the pitch. Both clubs wanted to sign Neymar, but finally the Catalan club put the huge amount of money to bring the Brazilian to Spain. More recently, both clubs have showed interest in the Portuguese raising star Gelson Martins, from Sporting Portugal.
After his superb game against Atlético Madrid, Isco has turned essential for Zinedine Zidane. The playmaker also did a good performance in Champions League and the supporters missed him against Sporting Gijón in La Liga. Now Isco will have the opportunity to show off at El Clásico on Saturday and show everybody his great skills.
