Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has said central defender Pepe is not for sale amid reports that Manchester City could be considering a bid.
The 30-year-old is believed to be high up on the list of potential signings wanted by Manuel Pellegrini, who is expected to take over at the Ethihad Stadium in the near future.
Reports have also suggested Chelsea may also consider a bid for the Portugal international now that Jose Mourinho has been installed as the manager at Stamford Bridge once again.
But speaking to Onda Cero, Perez said Los Blancos are intending on keeping Pepe, along with their other star players.
He stated: “Pepe is for for sale and will not move this summer, at least that’s my opinion.”
He added that Ronaldo and Iker Casillas both had futures at the Santiago Bernabeu too.
