Premier League side Everton may make a move for young Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev, according to media reports.
The 22-year-old, currently taking part in the European Under-21 Championships with Russia, was subject of a bid from the Toffees back in November last year, but Jose Mourinho told former Everton boss David Moyes he wanted to keep hold of the player.
Now, it appears new Toffees boss Roberto Martinez may revive the club’s interest in the winger with talkSport Radio suggesting a six million euro bid will be made.
Cheryshev made his senior debut for Los Blancos in the Copa del Rey win over Alcoyano.
When asked if he would like to play in the Premier League, he said: “Maybe, I don’t know. I can’t say. I have a contract with Real Madrid for one more season, and I have to wait because I don’t know what the club want to do with me.”
