Real Madrid president has admitted he would love to see club legend Zinedine Zidane manage the club one day – but now is too soon.
Los Blancos are searching for a new boss following the departure of Jose Mourinho, with PSG manager Carlo Ancelotto the red-hot favourite for the job.
Speaking to Spanish daily Marca, Perez said Zidane would one day like to go into management but is currently looking for a role as a coach.
“He’s really enthusiastic about becoming a manager and I would love him to (become manager), but I think he wants to work as a coach first,” he stated.
He added the two of them will sit down in the coming weeks to look at possibilities for the Frenchman to be incorporated into the new management set-up to improve his coaching experience.
