Real Madrid bosses are keeping a close eye to the European Championship Under 21 and it looks like the next signing will be Dani Ceballos, the midfielder of the Spanish national team, currently playing for Betis. The playmaker, who is 21 years old, can be signed with a five or six years deal, but will stay one year on loan at Real Betis.
According to the information published by Diario As, Real Madrid will pay around €15M, the price of the release clause, to sign Dani Ceballos. However, the player will stay one more year on loan at his club, so he could enjoy more minutes in La Liga and grow up as a player. Los Blancos will sign a long contract, so they can tie up one of the best youngsters in the Spanish football.
Dani Ceballos is playing with the Spanish national team the European Championship Under 21 and he has helped the team to reach the final against Germany. Borja Mayoral, Jesús Vallejo, Marcos Llorente or Marcos Asensio are other Real Madrid players in the great squad.
Florentino Pérez was asked about Dani Ceballos in an interview on Tuesday: “Ceballos? We have a sports strategy focused on youngsters, although not all end up playing here”, the president said.
Dani Ceballos is the best footballer at Betis. He played 31 games this season, scoring two goals in La Liga. He had problems to be in the line-up with Gustavo Poyet, but he ended up playing all the minutes with Víctor Sánchez del Amo and becoming one of the best youngsters of the tournament.
Real Madrid showed recently their interest with Dani Ceballos but it looks like that the midfielder could be signed by Atlético Madrid. However, his great tournament changed everything and he could join Los Blancos in the next weeks, according to this information.
