Real Madrid went back to work this Monday without selling any player in the summer transfer market. Pepe left the club because he didn’t want to renew his contract and Coentrao went on loan to Sporting Portugal. There are two unsolved issues yet in the squad: James Rodríguez and Álvaro Morata.
Morata could go to Manchester United but the Red Devils finally hired Romelu Lukaku instead, so Chelsea are now his best option. For James Rodríguez, the possibilities are unclear though. The Colombian playmaker will leave the club according to the bookmakers, but Real Madrid don’t have an offer on the table yet.
Manchester United were also interested in the Colombian playmaker but they don’t seem to be trying to sign him anymore. On the other hand, another club came up with a lot of options. According to the Colombian TV, Caracol Television, Bayern Munich will try to tie him up in the next days.
James Rodríguez is already in Madrid to start the pre-season with the club and fly to the United States. However, the player didn’t want this situation to arrive, because he expected to have his future solved by now. Now, he needs to move quickly in the market if he wants to finish his stage with Los Blancos.
Dani Ceballos’ arrival put James Rodríguez in the sales list. Zinedine Zidane wanted the Colombian to continue in the team, but with his new midfielder there is no space for him anymore. Ceballos is younger and, although he hasn’t showed yet the same as James Rodríguez, the club will invest on the Spaniard instead of James, who said several times he wanted to leave Madrid.
Bayern Munich could be a great option for him. He’d meet again with Carlo Ancelotti, who gave him a lot of confidence in his first season at Real Madrid. Actually, it was James best season, with 17 goals, 18 assists in 46 games.
