Zinedine Zidane said it several times during the last days: Real Madrid don’t need any more signings. And Florentino Pérez has listened to his manager, so Los Blancos won’t take advantage of the last days of the summer transfer window to modify the squad. Therefore, this window is closed for Los Blancos with the signings of Theo Hernández and Dani Ceballos, plus the end of the loan for Marcos Llorente, Jesús Vallejo and Borja Mayoral.
The French coach said before and after the match against Valencia that he doesn’t want any changes in the squad. This last game left some doubts in the fans, because Real Madrid had problems scoring goals and in the defensive line, with Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Jesús Vallejo unavailable.
However, the question of the full-back was bad luck and it’s going to be difficult to see this problem in the future, with three players unavailable in the same position. More doubts leave Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, who were booed by Santiago Bernabéu crowd.
Bale could have been sold this summer, and Florentino Pérez has this great opportunity to exchange the Welshman for Kylian Mbappé, his new Galáctico. However, the president didn’t want to modify a winning squad and the former Tottenham Hotspur player will have another opportunity with Los Blancos. Benzema, on the other hand, was unlucky against Valencia and everybody expects him to improve his accuracy and score more goals.
Nevertheless, the great striker this season is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese changes his role last season and now he will be the ‘9’ for Los Blancos, the player who has to score the goals. This season Real Madrid are weaker in this position, with Morata and Mariano out of the team and Borja Mayoral, with less experience, in the squad.
Do you think Real Madrid have worked correctly in this transfer window?
Yes,somehow. But Zizou should be flexible with his formation.4-4-2 and 4-3-3 formations make the wing backs to reduce the defenders to 2 and it is easy for attackers and or strikers to score against Real Madrid.Real Madrid technical crew should adopt 3-4-3 as follows:the club should start at the back with Sergio Ramos,Marcelo and Carvajal;in the mid-field should be found ISCO on the left,Casemiro and Kroos as holding midfielders and Modrich ,the play maker completing the quartet. Benzema , a team player,ASENSIO and Bale, in the absence of Ronaldo, completing the trio of Strikers. If any of the forwards is off form during a match,he should be dropped in the second half and ISCO should be moved forward while Sergio Ramos takes his place in the midfield and Varane/Nacho is brought in, in a flexible rotation system.Immediately Ronaldo comes back,BALE SHOULD BECOME A SUPER SUB UNTIL HE IS IN TOP FORM AGAIN.I hereby support Zidane: “I Hope We Don’t Make any Changes in the Squad”
