The French player spoke about the importance of Zinedine Zidane in his career: “He was key to come and he also helps me every day. I want to thank him for his support and trust. He gives me tips and we respect him a lot and listen when he speaks. In the tough moments we spoke, so he could be calm”.
Varane is very happy in Madrid: “My history with Real Madrid is very beautiful and I want it to be great. I want to enjoy this moment and continue wearing this t-shirt”. Will Varane retire at Real Madrid?: “It would be great and the most beautiful thing I can dream. I’d be 29 years old at the end of my new contract and I hope I’ll keep the honour of wearing this t-shirt”.
Varane also spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo, who complained about the critics: “If you like football, you can only admire him for what he’s done and keep doing. His numbers speak by themselves. He’s so good and amazing that he’s setting the history of football and it’s difficult to criticize him”.
