Real Madrid ‘s homegrown player Nacho Fernandez has signed a four-year deal with the first squad, getting promoted from Castilla after playing eleven games during Jose Mourinho’s final season in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Nacho arrived to Real Madrid twelve years ago. After playing in all the youth categories, he joined the first team with regular appearances last year.
The 23-year old won the Supercopa with Los Blancos and became European Champion with Spain under-21 national team last June.
Nacho, who can play both at both centre-back or left-back, will be now officially part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad and will not be switching from Castilla to the first team.
Real is filling their squad with homegrown players this summer, with Daniel Carvajal coming back from Bayer Leverkusen and Jese Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata expected to stay at the first team squad.
Good news for the club and the youngster.
