Reports have surfaced that Arsenal are set to offer Real Madrid around 25 million euros for Iker Casillas.
The North London side are in desperate need of reinforcements in the backline, particularly after the damaging 3-1 home defeat by Aston Villa on the opening day of the season.
The Gunners have been hit with an injury crisis which, combined with a total lack of signings in the transfer market this summer, has left the squad thread bare. Goalkeeper Vito Mannone was one of the players to leave, while Wojcech Szczesny and Lukas Fabiansk have failed to impress in recent matches.
According to Sportdirectnews, Arsene Wenger could be about to appease angry fans by signing Casillas, who is willing to leave Los Blancos following his snub at the weekend when Diego Lopez was preferred in goal in the opening La Liga match of the season.
Paul you nitwit. Stop scaring everyone into thinking Iker is willing to move. He’s not going to move. The end.
Just reporting what the press are saying. Personally, I’m sure Iker will stay at Madrid. Sorry for scaring you though!
