Both Madrid sports newspapers highlight in their front pages the fact that Gareth Bale played his first official match since May yesterday.
“Bale is ready”, titles As, reporting that “the Welshman played 33 minutes with Wales and will train today at Real Madrid’s training ground”.
Marca’s headline is “Bale shines in half an hour”. “He played good minutes with Wales and will make his training debut with Real today”, they add.
Gareth Bale missed his national team’s previous game against Macedonia, but took part in yesterday’s loss against Serbia, despite starting in the bench.
As also reports that Real Madrid centre-back Nacho Fernandez made his debut with the Spanish national team in La Roja’s draw 2-2 against Chile in a friendly game. Sergio Ramos and Arbeloa also played.
Casillas was in the bench but, as highlighted by As, he received IFFHS’s Award as the Best Goalkeeper of 2012.
