Real Madrid are said to have joined the long list of clubs reported to be interested in signing 38 million euro rated Southampton wonderkid Luke Shaw.
Shaw, who has played over 50 games in the Premier League before his 19th birthday, is seen by many as England’s star left back for years to come, and many believe he will be the star of his generation.
And his manager at Southampton Mauricio Pochettino, who used to play and manage in La Liga with Espanyol, believes that he could play for Real Madrid or anyone in the world.
When asked whether Shaw was good enough for Real, Pochettino answered “He can play in the world starting 11. For Madrid or any team in the world.
“The fact he was called up by the England national side to be among the senior team is already quite an amazing achievement.
“The question to you would be who is better equipped to be the best left-back in the world, if not him. I am not sure he is not already the best left-back in the world.
If he did move to the Bernabeu, he would be the second Southampton academy graduate in the squad alongside record signing Gareth Bale.
