Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez is close to completing a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu with firm interest from both AC Milan and Monaco.
The 32 year-old kept Iker Casillas out of the starting-eleven in La Liga last season but the signing of Keylor Navas could end the Spaniard’s involvement at the club.
According to Sky Sport Italia the Italian side AC Milan are favourites for the player’s signature while Monaco continue to monitor the situation in the background.
Milan want to take Lopez on loan for the season but the former Villarreal shot-stopper is keen on securing a permanent switch away from Real Madrid this summer.
The Rossoneri are looking to find a solution with coach Carlo Ancelotti happy to lend his former side a hand in convincing Lopez to make the switch to Serie A.
However should negotiations collapse then Monaco could be in the goalkeeper as they have the capacity to top anything Milan could be offering in terms of wages.
A resolution could be found by the end of the day with Milan displaying a great degree of optimism over the proposed move.

It is greatful that Castillas is staying in Madrid. However, I am insisting that trading ADM is a big mistake that los blancos are making. Even though it will be a great financial gain for the club but the president Florentino has to considered the fact that everyone is asking to keep DM including his coach Ancelotti. Frankly, I strongly believe that ADM is more useful and effective than Isco. Hasta la vista.
Carlo don’t allow di maria to go out. If Real sell this man they will regret. He’s the one that take ball unto the opponent. In case Ronaldo or Bale is injury Di maria will take anything one of them place. Look at clasico in copa de la rey last season when Ronaldo was injured Di maria played well and score in that game. Therefore Di maria don’t need to be sell. Thanks
Di Maria is crucial for the Los blancos if they want to win the champions league this time as well.
