Rodrygo Goes lived the best day in his football career when he was unveiled as a new Real Madrid player at Santiago Bernabéu with Florentino Pérez and many journalists. One year after the signing of his contract after a negotiation of “20 minutes”, as the player confirmed, Rodrygo arrived to the Spanish capital to be in the squad and try to fight for a position in the starting eleven.

He can follow Vinicius Junior steps, who grew a lot during the last season until becoming an important player in the squad. “Here the pressure is much higher, Vinicius told me that I need to be patient. I’m very young and I need to be patient. Things will go on in a natural way”, Rodrygo said in the press conference, admitting that he spoke with Vinicius after he signed for Los Blancos.

Rodrygo doesn’t want to be compared to anybody, but his idols are Neymar and Robinho: “I’m a fast striker, like Robinho or Neymar. I identify myself a little bit with them”. However, the Brazilian player said that he prefers to play in the wings, where he would fight with Vinicius or Hazard for a spot in the starting eleven.

Real Madrid paid around €60M to Santos to get one of the best young players in Brazil after Juni Calafat reports. Los Blancos continued with their policy of signing youngsters because the market value is totally crazy. Vinicius Junior was the first step and Rodrygo will be the second, although we don’t know yet if he will play in the first squad or in Castilla because he is still very young.

Rodrygo told the journalists that he didn’t hesitate to sign with Los Blancos: “I think that everybody who knows me know that I always dream about Real Madrid and my father always told me that I will play with Real Madrid”. His father wasn’t and he will train together with Hazard and Zinedine Zidane.

Florentino Pérez has been very quick on closing the signings of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy, but he still has work to do, especially with Paul Pogba. The French midfielder is the target number one for Zinedine Zidane but his signing would be very difficult and the negotiations very long. We are looking at the melodrama of the summer with Mino Raiola, the agent, in the middle.

Paul Pogba seems happy to change Manchester United and join Real Madrid. The midfielder said this weekend that “it could be a good moment for a challenge in other place”. Manchester United won’t play the Champions League next year and, despite the great investment in the past years, the Red Devils are far behind the biggest clubs in Europe. If Pogba is ambitious, he would like to look for new titles and Old Trafford is not the right place at the moment.

Besides, Zinedine Zidane’s factor would be also very important. Hazard admitted that the idea of being trained by Zizou was a great push to choose Real Madrid. And the Real Madrid manager wants Pogba in his team, as he can give more physical power to the midfield and the perfect combination with Kroos and Luka Modric. This is why Real Madrid businessmen will try to get him on board.

The idea is trying to close the squad before the 1st of July. In that date, Manchester United will go back to work, and few days later, the new season will start for Real Madrid. However, negotiations will be very tough as we can expect a transfer fee above €150M. Zidane wants to have all his players on board and train from the first day with the full squad. Of course, there will be many players leaving the club in the following weeks, as there are still too many footballers on the team, but at least Zidane will now the players he could count on.

Real Madrid To Offer £120m For Eden Hazard?

More than 50.000 people gathered at Santiago Bernabéu on a warm evening to receive and give all the support to the new Real Madrid star. Eden Hazard is a Galáctico and the supporters are already dreaming with more success after the nightmare of the past season. It was a dream also for Eden Hazard, who was a Madridista since he was little and finally can join the team.

Some football games this season has less attendance than Hazard’s unveiling. The supporters wanted to see Hazard with the Real Madrid t-shirt for the first time. Although he should wear the iconic number ‘7’, this time the t-shirt didn’t have any number, because Mariano Díaz currently used this ‘7’. Real Madrid prepared a great video with the highlights of his career, and then the president started to talk.

We could see Florentino Pérez very happy and he had some kind words towards the Belgian player: “There was a long time I wanted to say these words: Today Eden Hazard has become a member of Real Madrid. You are where you should be”, Pérez said in the unveiling.

Then it was time for Hazard, who had time to snatch a selfie with all the supporters. Hazard spoke again about the happiness of joining Real Madrid: “It was my dream playing at Real Madrid since I was a little boy, thank you to everyone”.

Then, Hazard attended his first press conference as Real Madrid player and he spoke about Zidane: “Everybody knows Zidane was my idol and the fact that he´s now my coach it was a decisive factor. But I always wanted to play in this club”, Hazard said.

He also commented that the captain Sergio Ramos will kick the penalties, and he joked about getting the number ‘10’: “I asked Modric to give me the number ‘10’, but he refused”. The playmaker also commented that the talks started after the World Cup, but finally it was a reality this year”.

Florentino Pérez is doing his homework in this summer and he has closed another signing for the next season. This time is the left-back Ferland Mendy, from Olympique Lyonnais. Los Blancos are paying €48M plus other €5M in variables for the 24-year-old French player. He will join Real Madrid until 2025, same year as Luka Jovic.

Zinedine Zidane has another player of his request in the dressing room. The coach was following Mendy very closer and even Didier Deschamps said this weekend that the progression of the footballer was stunning and he was going to join Real Madrid. After a great season with Lyon, he can step forward in his career. Next Wednesday 19th of June will be unveiled at Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

Marcelo has for the first time in some year a great competitor. The Brazilian was on the bench in many games this season due to his poor level and even Reguilón made great performances during this time. Now Los Blancos have three left backs in the squad. So either Reguilón is given on loan or Marcelo leaves, perhaps to join Juventus with his friend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Florentino Pérez keeps investing money in a fresh new squad. We are only in the month of June and Real Madrid have spent €303M in signings, their all time record, beating the summer of 2009 where Xabi Alonso, Kaká or Cristiano Ronaldo arrived paying €254M.

Even if Zidane has better players in each line -Miliato is a centre back, Mendy left back, Hazard is an offensive midfielder, Rodrygo a winger and Jovic a striker-, Los Blancos are still working to get more players. The main target right now is a midfielder, especially Paul Pogba. If the French is impossible, Eriksen and Ndombélé are the other options. Now the problems will come in the exit room, because many players would need to leave the club this summer.

The French manager wants him on board and he gave the Brazilian plenty of opportunities, perhaps even more than he deserved after his performances. However, Marcelo is a legend of the club and a good professional, so he has to decide about his future. Ferland Mendy, from Olympique Lyonnais, is about to arrive to be the left back of the team, so Marcelo will lose his status in the squad. Juventus are waiting for him. Will he leave the club?

Keylor Navas

His future outside Real Madrid is more certain. Zidane gave him some opportunities last season, but Thibaut Courtois is the goalkeeper of the future. This decision doesn’t not leave any room for the Costa Rican, who will be looking for a new club after winning three Champions League with Real Madrid in a decisive role. PSG could be his destination after Buffon’s departure.

Isco

The Andalusian playmaker was one of the last season’s protagonist. Unfortunately, not for his good performances on the pitch. He had a crucial role with Lopetegui, but was on the bench with Solari after a fight with the manager. Zidane tried to put him again on the pitch, but he wasn’t fit. Now his future is uncertain, especially after Hazard’s arrival. If a good offer arrives, Real Madrid might listen and he could leave the Spanish capital.

Marcos Llorente

Even if he had good minutes with Solari on the bench, Zidane doesn’t look very keen on him. He could be a good replacement for Casemiro, even able to play in this role in important games, but Zidane prefers Valverde in that role. The Spaniard could be sold this summer with a re-buy clause. Even Atlético de Madrid, who are about to lose Rodri, are tempting the stopper.

Mariano Díaz

The Dominican striker said that he wanted to stay in the club and fight for minutes. However, Luka Jovic’s arrival makes things more complicated. He didn’t have many minutes last season despite the terrible numbers in the attacking line and that he was the only natural replacement to Karim Benzema. However, his injury problems prevent him to have more minutes. Would he accept a role of the third striker of the team?

Florentino Pérez has a new Galáctico. Real Madrid have made official the signing of Eden Hazard from Chelsea. The Belgian playmaker has signed a contract for five years and he sees his dream accomplished: playing for Real Madrid. The former Chelsea player has said several times that his dream was playing for Los Blancos and being trained by Zinedine Zidane, his idol.

Eden Hazard will be unveiled at Santiago Bernabéu stadium next 13th of June. This is the first Galáctico signing since James Rodríguez back in 2014. After several years building up a champion team, now it’s time to spend money in the market again. Hazard joins Luka Jovic, Militao and Rodrygo, the new faces for the season 2019/20.

Reports say that Los Blancos have paid €100M as a transfer fee plus another €40M in different clauses. Hazard was in the last year of contract at Chelsea, but he’s considered one of the best players in the world in his position, so, given the price of the market, Florentino can be very happy with the price of his new acquisition. Barcelona paid around €160M for Phillipe Coutinho.

Hazard is 28 years old, so he arrives to Madrid at the peak of his career. He’s been playing for Chelsea since 2012 and has won 2 Premier League, 2 Europa Leagues, the FA Cup and the League Cup. Before, he played for Lille in France, where he was able to win the league title and the Cup.

This is one of the most important signings in the summer market and can change the whole situation in the future. Isco might leave the club as Hazard can play in a similar situation, although the Belgian player can occupy any position in the attacking line, even starting from the wing. Los Blancos have signed talent and quality, a good hit to boost the start of the season after a terrible year.

Benfica will receive 30% of the transfer fee because the Lisbon club sold the players recently for only €6M after a loan. Therefore, Eintracht have done a great business selling the player only some months later for €60M. Although the price is quite high, Los Blancos can be happy after signing one of the most successful strikers in Europe, followed by many big teams.

He was born in 1997, so his youth and the willingness to sign for Los Blancos were key to get the new player on board. He can be the perfect partner for Karim Benzema, because Jovic is more a killer, a traditional ‘9’, even if he is not very high (181 cm). Now Mariano Díaz becomes the third forward in the squad and his continuity in the team is not granted because Rodrygo will also become part of the squad.

Since Benzema’s signing in 2009, Florentino Pérez had not signed a ‘9’ for the club. Adebayor or Chicharito arrived on loan to the club, whereas Álvaro Morata or Mariano Díaz were bought thanks to a clause included in their contract. José Antonio Reyes died in a crash accident this Saturday 1st of June when he was travelling between Utrera and Seville at the age of 35. The doctors couldn’t do anything for his life when the ambulance arrived to the place of the accident. Real Madrid have released a statement offering their condolences to the family.

Sergio Ramos spoke in press conference, surprisingly, to be clear about his future after the rumours triggered in the last days. The captain confirmed that he wants to retire at Real Madrid because he is a madridista, so he won’t leave the club towards China even if he admitted that he showed Florentino Pérez an important offer from a Chinese club.

After all these facts, Sergio Ramos had to speak in public to close the rumours. He said one thing and the contrary. The captain admitted that he had an offer from China, but he said both things: he didn’t think about leaving and he studied the offer. Besides, he blamed the journalists about all the rumours, even if his brother and agent René Ramos was the one filtering this information.
