Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro says Los Blancos will win trophies this season if they show the same work rate, determination and solidarity as they did in the draw with PSG.
The 10-time Champions League winners visited the French capital without a host of first teamers but emerged with a point against one of Europe’s strongest teams. Real are unbeaten in all competitions this season and have conceded just two goals along the way.
Against PSG, the controlled possession for large spells and had the better of the opportunities on a night of few clear cut chances.
Talking to the press afterwards, Brazilian Casemiro stated: “We played against a top team and we put in a really good performance. There’s no doubt that we’re all contributing and working hard, we’re developing into a really solid unit. This is the way to win trophies. I’m not worried about the draws, because we put in a really good display against a top team. We knew that this was a difficult place to come to.”
He also said the Los Blancos squad was strong and talented and could cope with the injury crisis.
“Today we showed that we have a terrific squad. Whoever plays is ready to do so. The players who came in, who aren’t usually starters, played really well,” he commented.
