Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has once again reiterated his belief that Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world.
On a trip to Panama this week, where he is working to improve the sporting academy run by Los Blancos since 2006, Perez said the Portugal forward is ahead of his peers in the game.
The 29-year-old has had another sensational 12 months at the Santiago Bernabeu, helping his side win four trophies – the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, European Super Cup and World Club Cup. On a personal note, he has set all sorts of records and for the fourth season in a row, netted more than 50 club goals in a campaign.
Speaking to the press in the central American nation, Perez said: “Of course he’s the most complete, and not only for what he’s achieved […] without a doubt he’s the best.”
The club president also took the time to look back at what has been achieved over the past 12 months.
And he stated: “This effort is not only to win games, add another title to our trophy cabinet and to continue to grow the legend of Real Madrid – who greatly help the world from a sporting point of view -, but it also allows us to pass on our values, especially to children.”
