Former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello spoke about Los Blancos Champions League tie against Juventus in an interview with Spanish newspaper As.
The Italian claimed Carlo Ancelotti’s team reminds him of the Real Madrid he brought to a spectacular come-back to win La Liga in 2007. “They have the same objective we had: winning every game. I think they started to believe in themselves at the Camp Nou. They have a very good coach, very clever. I see in them the same spirit that we had,” Capello said.
The Russia national football team boss praised Los Blancos attitude: “They are fighting together, with heart, and you can see that in the field. Regarding mentality and fighting spirit, they never give up.”
Asked about the tie against Juve, Capello believes “it is completely opened.” “Real have to be careful, because Juve have grate players and is very solid. They know what they have to do. Madrid have great quality, but Modric’s absence is very important,” he added.
Capello is not sure whether Juve will focussed on defending at the Santiago Bernabeu or not: “They can play both ways, I don’t know. It depends on whether they are afraid or if they want to score one more goal. The important thing for me is that Pogba will play.”
