Real Madrid are reportedly seeking for a left-back, as Fabio Coentrao is expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. Los Blancos have been eyeing a few players during the season, and they have already made their first offer, according to Marca.
The Spanish newspaper has claimed Chelsea defender Filipe Luis has rejected an offer from Los Merengues. Real directors have reportedly contacted the former Atletico Madrid man’s agent, but Filipe Luis has even refused to hear Los Blancos proposal.
The 29-year-old is not interested in signing for Real despite having a disappointing first season at Stamford Bridge. Filipe arrived last summer at Chelsea but he has failed to earn a spot in the starting eleven. In fact, he has only played 13 games in the Premier League.
Filipe Luis spent one season at Real Madrid back in 2005, when he joined Los Blancos reserve team from Brazilian side Figueirense. After that he spent four seasons at Deportivo de La Coruna before signing for Atletico, where he played for four years.
The Brazilian could be seeking for a transfer move due to the lack of minutes of play at Chelsea, but his first option is returning to Atletico, according to reports from the Spanish press.
