Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says the club will be back next season and aim to dominate La Liga and win the Champions League.
Los Blancos will end this campaign without any major honour having seen Barcelona clinch the domestic title at the weekend and failing to make the Champions League final after losing to Juventus.
The failure to achieve their high targets is expected to bring a summer of change at the Santiago Bernabeu with boss Carlo Ancelotti set to lose his job, and the club ready to bolster their squad once more in pursuit of dominance at home and abroad.
And speaking to the press at the launch of a new Real Madrid app, Perez said the team would be back and more determined next season.
“This week is the celebration of the first anniversary of La Decima. Madrid do not give up, neither do Madrid fans. And we will try to achieve La Undecima,” the Los Blancos supremo stated.
He added: “Real Madrid have no boundaries. Real Madrid is a feeling and an emotion. We all share the victories and the glories. We are united by these feelings and principles. The team must be among the best in the world.”
