According to Marca, Real Madrid wing Lucas Vázquez has won Zidane’s trustness. The French man wants to keep Lucas beside him and the canterano player already knows he will stay next season in the first team.
Quietly, Lucas has earned the respect of everybody. Now is essential for the team, more than Isco or James, whose season have disappointed a lot of people. In fact, Lucas has played more than any of them with Zidane as Real coach.
A lot of clubs have asked for Lucas because of his excellent performance, but they have always answered “no”. According to Spanish newspaper Marca, in January Sevilla asked for a loan and Liverpool is also interested.
Benítez trusted him like Zizou does now. With the current Newcastle coach Lucas played 15 games, 5 in the starting line-up, spread over 675 minutes. With Zizou, 17 games, 8 in the starting line-up, spread over 932 minutes.
His decisive goals (4) and decisive assists (10) have made national team coach Del Bosque to call him for the Euro 2016. It’s the provisional list yet, but it’s already a recognition of his good season.
