Real Madrid defender Marcelo has commented on the possibility of country-man Neymar completing a move to the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.
In an interview with Brazilian newspaper O Globo, the Brazilian claimed it is highly unlikely that Neymar will decide to leave Barcelona.
“People talk about many things, except football. I think it is very difficult that Neymar could agree terms with Real Madrid. He is making history at Barcelona, and I don’t think he will change that to come to Madrid,” the 27-year-old explained.
Thus, according to Marcelo, Neymar will most likely sign a contract extension with Barcelona in the next few weeks, increasing his salary.
The Los Blancos left-back also praised Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming he is the best in the world: “Many people say I prefer Cristiano because we are friend, but I keep saying he is the best because I see the way he works and the way he takes care of himself. I see how ambitious he is and how hard he works outside the field. He is the best in the world for the things he does.”
