James Rodríguez has many offers to leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. The Premier League clubs are the ones showing more interest but Inter Milán have overtaken them by presenting the first bid to Florentino Pérez.
According to the Spanish newspaper As, Inter Milán have offered €45M for the Colombian star, a price that shouldn’t be enough to convince Florentino Pérez to sell James Rodríguez. Especially if we think that Real Madrid paid €80M to Mónaco for the Colombian star. However, according to these sources, Los Blancos are listening to the offer and the positions are not very distant so they could reach an agreement.
In the same negotiation is included Pepe. The full back contract expires in June and he’ll move to Milan with James Rodríguez if the deal is finally sealed. Both have Jorge Mendes as an agent, so these operations are linked. If James Rodríguez doesn’t go to Milan, Pepe won’t land in Italy.
Despite these informations, it looks very unlikely that Real Madrid would accept a €45M offer for James Rodríguez when some Premier League clubs like Manchester United would be offering up to €65M. Besides, Inter Milan won’t play in Europe the next season, so James Rodríguez won’t enjoy the Champions League.
If the Colombian star finally chooses to play with Manchester United, he’ll be able to shine in the Champions League. The Red Devils got the ticket to this competition after winning the Europa League against Ajax on Wednesday.
Inter Milan had shown in the past a lot of interest in James Rodríguez. Actually, they offered €85M in the transfer deadline day last summer. Real Madrid accepted the bid, but James Rodríguez rejected the offer at the very last minute because he wanted to convince Zinedine Zidane that he’s a very important player in the squad. Unfortunately for him, he hasn’t succeed in his goal as he’s been on the bench more than on the pitch this season.
