Jesé Rodríguez is not happy in Paris and the club is not happy with the striker. Therefore, both parties are already considering the divorce as soon as in the winter transfer window. Unai Emery, PSG coach, is not giving many opportunities to the former Real Madrid striker, who is struggling to show his quality in France.
Real Madrid sold Jesé Rodríguez this summer for a €25M transfer fee to PSG. The Canarian player arrived to Paris as an star to reinforce the attacking line after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. It won’t be very difficult to fill the gap of the Swedish striker but Jesé was ready for the challenge.
However, only 5 months later, the Spaniard could leave France. He has only played 9 games in the Ligue One, one in the starting eleven. His only goal in the French League arrived in November against Nantes. Very poor numbers for a PSG striker.
Jesé is not happy in París and even Emery has opened the door to the Spanish player: Why is he not playing more? I think he’s a good player. I improved his adaptation. It’s a matter of continuity, rhythm. When he plays some minutes, he is doing well, but he needs more work every day to keep improving. Now I don’t think in the possibility of him leaving, but I have to speak with the club for options to make us improve”.
The easiest possibility at this moment would be a loan. Spanish club Las Palmas have already asked for a loan agreement to PŜG. Jesé was born in the Canary islands, so it could be a good option for him to gain confidence. Besides, Las Palmas are in a great moment in La Liga, far away from the relegation zone.
Another option for Jesé could be AS Roma. He scored a wonderful goal in the Last 16 Round in the Champions League last season at the Olímpico. The Italian club is ready for a loan or even to undertake a permanent transfer, Corriere dello Sport report. However, PSG want to include the defender Antonio Rudiger in the agreement, and Roma won’t be happy about that.
Besides, PSG might be thinking on signing ‘Apache’ Tévez from Boca Juniors. With another striker in the squad, Jesé Rodríguez would have even less minutes, so he should have to find a new club.
To be fair, there’s no way he was going to start ahead of Di Maria or Cavani.
