Young Real Madrid attacker Jese has revealed he feels flattered by comparisons with star player Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 20-year-old had an impressive season with Castilla in the Segunda Division, netting 22 times.
And he admitted he is now ready to battle for a place in the Real Madrid first team.
In an interview with Madrid-based daily Marca, Jese said he enjoys being likened to Cristiano Ronaldo – who he admits is an inspiration and idol to him.
“I have liked a lot of players; the Brazilian Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, but my favourite is Cristiano Ronaldo. I like being compared to him,” he stated.
On his future at the club, he added: “The club president is happy with me. I hope to reach an agreement and stay at the club. I really want to play in the first-team.”
