The agent of Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez has said the player is making good progress as he recovers from a serious knee injury.
The youngster suffered a cruciate ligament injury while playing for Los Blancos against Schalke in the Champions League earlier this year and isn’t expected to make a comeback until late October or early November.
But speaking to Radio Marca, the player’s agent Gines Carvajal revealed the Jese was given positive news at a check up in Germany recently.
“Jese had a check up in Germany on Tuesday and the doctor was amazed at the recovery progress. He’s very happy with the rehabilitation work Jese has been doing over the last few months,” he said.
But he warned the player still has some way to go before he can take to the field again, and he must remain patient. “We can’t rush it. He will be back when his knee allows it. It doesn’t matter if it’s October or November, it will be when there’s no risk of taking a step backwards,” Carvajal said.
He added at the end of the interview that Jese was grateful to all the fans who have sent him message of support and is looking forward to playing infront of them again as soon as he can.
“The fans love Jesé; he has sparked people’s hope and I know they will be waiting for him with the same affection and enthusiasm he feels,” he concluded.
