Spanish radio station Cadena COPE has revealed that Jese Rodriguez has been hospitalised due to complications in his knee injury. Apparently, he’s suffering from an unusual inflammation due to an infection that needs to be treated.
Real Madrid doctors are analysing this issue and they have confirmed the player will travel back to Germany in the next few hours to have his problems checked by the doctor who operated on him two weeks ago.
Jese showed his happiness on Twitter early this week for having his stitches removed, but now he faces a tough time as this complications could prolong his recovery time.
These are tough days for the youngster, as his house burned down two weeks ago following a gas explosion that left three men injured, all of them labourers that where working on a remodelling.
The 21-year-old suffered a ligament injury during the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals against Schalke 04. He’s expected to be on the sidelines for six or seven months.
Doctor Ulrich Boenisch is in charge of his surgery process. Worldwide recognised as an expert in ligament injuries, he also operated on Sami Khedira early this season. Barcelona’s goalkeeper Victor Valdes has also entered his operation room in the last few days.
