Real Madrid have to close the forward line in the next days. The club has decided to keep Álvaro Morata in the squad no matter the offer that might arrive for England. With the former Juventus forward in the team, Jesé’s role is even more complicated that last season.
However, the Canarian striker wants to continue at Real Madrid even if the club keeps Morata for the next season. With that in mind, Jesé would be the fifth striker in the team, behind Karim Benzema, Álvaro Morata, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Besides, if Jesé decides to play as a winger, Lucas Vázquez also has priority after the great end of the season.
Last season, Jesé didn’t enjoy a lot of minutes in the first team. He only played 1.252’, the 26,7% of the overall minutes. Rafael Benítez or Zinedine Zidane didn’t trust the striker, who only score a really good goal in the season against Roma in the Last 16 of the Champions League.
Real Madrid is receiving some offers from some clubs like Espanyol and Bayer Leverkusen but the striker wants to fight for a place in the team. He is negotiating a new deal with Real Madrid, the current one expires in 2017 and he earns €1.2M per year, because the club doesn’t want to set him free.
Jesé has to talk with Zinedine Zidane next week, when both finish their holidays. He has a good relationship with the French manager and will ask him openly if he has a spot in the squad.
There is still plenty of time to find a new club to Jesé. Besides, even if the club has decided to keep Morata, there is still the possibility of receiving a great offer that the club cannot refuse and sell him. Jesé has to train hard in this pre-season stage to gain Zidane’s trust and see what happen with his future.
Comment: Jesse need to go out on loan,,,I will prefer we loan him out to bayen Leverkusen,,,so that he can gain experience like morata and daniel carvajar…
