Jose Mourinho has hit out at the wife of Rafa Benitez saying she should look after her husband’s diet more closely.
The Portuguese showed once again his insecure nature and inability to deal with any sort of humour after Montserrat Seara had joked in a Spanish paper earlier this week that Benitez and Mourinho have shared the same clubs in their managerial careers because her husband needs to clean up after the Portuguese has left.
She then went on to say on a serious note that the reason they have been at the same clubs – Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid – is because there are very few top-class clubs in the world.
Never one to hide his nasty side, Mourinho hit back, taking aim at the new Real manager’s wife, saying she should look after her husband’s diet rather than talk about the Chelsea boss.
He also said Benitez had destroyed the Inter Milan team he had built, forgetting to mention his own managerial failures such as failing to win the Champions League while at Real Madrid.
“The lady is a bit confused. I am not laughing. Her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti. The only club where her husband replaced me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time,” he said.
Not exactly a stunner himself, the Chelsea boss then took aim at the Real manager’s weight.
“For her also to think about me and to speak about me, I think she needs to occupy her time, and if she takes care of her husband’s diet she will have less time to speak about me,” he garbled.
