Madrid sports newspaper As brings to its front page an extract from Carlo Ancelotti’s autobiography in which the manager states: “Let’s make it clear: I decide the lineups”.
As takes that as a warn to Madrid media and fans. They also highlight another sentence from Ancelotti: “If the president ask for an explanation about why not lining up a player, you have to give it to him, because he is the boss”.
In a similar front page, the other main Madrid sports daily, Marca, titles: “Watch out with Ancelotti”. “He won’t tolerate the lack of attitude showed last year”, they claim. “No player is untouchable, all are the same”, they add.
“Ancelotti wants his players to train as they play, at 100%. No match is less important, no rival is inferior”, they state.
Marca also claims Jose Callejon has travelled to Napoli to sign for the Italian team after the two clubs have reached an agreement.
