Massimiliano Allegri has expressed his delight with his Juventus players after they saw off Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of the Champions League.
But he has warned his team the tie is not over yet and they will need to deliver a masterpiece in Madrid if they are to qualify for their first final since 2003.
Former Real forward Alvaro Morata scored early on to give the hosts the lead in Turin before Cristiano Ronaldo equalised just short of the half hour mark. But Carlo Tevez put the hosts in front from the penalty spot after being tripped in the box by Daniel Carvajal.
In his press conference afterward, Allegri, who guided his side to the Seria A title this season already, stated: “We need to recognise how important this result is. It was a great display from us and we also celebrated winning the Scudetto. We’ve played good football this season. I can only take my hat off to my players.”
He added: “It’s a pity we didn’t get a third,” Allegri said. “There were a couple of moments when we could have done better in attack. In any case, we have laid the foundations. My players showed great personality, effort and determination. But I think if we want to make the final, we’ve got to deliver a masterpiece in Madrid.”
There is noting will ever make juventus to hold madrid for 90 minutes witout wining dem so real madrid fans don’t bother una self cus this final is messi vs ronaldo
