Negredo eyes Real Madrid return

Real Madrid are considering bringing Alvaro Negredo back to the Santiago Bernabeu, where he grew up playing for Los Blancos youth teams.

Los Merengues only have one striker in their squad -Karim Benzema- after Alvaro Morata’s exit to Juventus, and are in desperate need of a player for that role.

After having studied making a bid for Radamel Falcao and Sergio Aguero, Real directors believe they should sign a cheaper forward, Spanish sports newspaper Marca has reported, especially since they are set to spend around 80 million euros in bringing James Rodriguez in.

Although Carlo Ancelotti believes Madrid should sign a young talented striker who would accept sitting on the bench regularly, Negredo is another attractive option, since he knows the club well and would also be willing to return home even if it’s for becoming Benzema’s substitute.

The main obstacle for this deal is Manchester City’s refusal to let Negredo go. Atletico Madrid already tried to sign the Spaniard this summer, but the North England club would not accept less than 30 million euros for him.

Negredo scored 23 goals in 48 games for City last season in his first year in the Premier League. Despite not having played as much as he expected, he is happy with the experience of playing in England, although he would also like to return to Spain.

  1. How can a club “consider” bringing a player into their team who is not available?
Alejandro I have to say you inhabit a fantasy world and are also a nitwit.

  2. Alejandro, there is not a chance Negredo will leave ManchesterCity, they are the English champions who pay the highest salaries to players, so why would he want to leave when hem is so happy in Manchesntemr along side Silva,Navas,Garcia,Cabellero and soon to be Isco

    Regards

  3. Madrid don’t need no new striker, We’ve got enough. What role will james play if we keep considering more strikers? There is simply no need for alejandro. #halamadrid #montvictor @dreal_sexon

  4. I don’t see a strong case for chasing Negredo, it would be unlikely that City will let him go cheaply, which seems to be the reasoning for approaching him rather than Falcao (mentioned).
There could be a technical idea in bringing him back, due to the fact that he would be considered under the homegrown rule.

If we get to dream about forwards, I would love to have a Brazilian forward again, I am thinking about Hulk.
Hulk has been having a hard time settling in Russia, and there has been discrimination against him as well. So I think he is motivated to leave.
I am curious why the transfer stories about him this summer are so quite, his world cup performance wasn’t exactly the greatest promotion.
So I think Hulk would fit the bill at Madrid.

Should we look more into the future in terms of replacing Morata, I would approach Chelsea about Romelu Lukaku. If Real could add him to the team, it would be amazing for sure, he has already proven himself in Premier League.
He fits the target man position perfectly, he would be a constant threat and make room for the other offensive powers.
But this kid isn’t going to be cheap, but he is heading towards a very bright future.

    SOO….
Hulk fits the bill. Lukaku is the dream and unique talent that Real is build upon.
