Television channel BeIn Sport, property of Paris Saint Germain owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has announced through its Twitter account that the French club have reached an agreement with Laurent Blanc to become their new manager.
This leaves the door open for Carlo Ancelotti to end his relationship with PSG and join Real Madrid. Spanish sports newspaper Marca claims that Los Blancos will announce the signing of the Italian as Jose Mourinho’s successor in the next few hours.
As, the other main Madrid sports daily, states that Florentino Perez will name Ancelotti as soon as PSG officially announces Blanc’s arrival at the Parc de Prince club.
Laurent Blanc has been out of work since he left the French national team in 2012 after two years in charge. His previous job and only experience as a club coach was at Girondins Bordeaux from 2007-2010, where he won a Ligue 1 title.
Sources have said Perez was waiting for the new manager’s arrival to start negotiating deals for the new signings, so if Ancelotti is confirmed, Real could start moving the summer transfer market in the next few days.
