AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has made Real Madrid’s shortlist for the January transfer window after a stop-start season at the San Siro.
The 23 year-old has been in appalling form for the struggling Serie A side and Los Blancos’ search for a forward has become well-documented.
According to Corriere della Sera the Spanish side have joined Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in the hunt for the Italian international, should they be presented the opportunity in January.
Speculation about the strikers future has been rife following some disconcerting Twitter posts made following Milan’s 1-1 draw with Genoa, a game where Balotelli missed only the second penalty of his professional career.
The former Inter and Manchester City starlet would be the first Italian to grace the Santiago Bernabeu in the white kit since the great Fabio Cannavaro.
