Los Blancos have decided to keep Álvaro Morata for the next season as the fourth striker, after Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. Therefore, the club won’t listen to any offer arriving from England, Italy or Spain.
According to the Spanish newspaper As, the decision is taken and the striker will not leave the club this summer. The club thinks that Morata is one of the best forwards in the worlds and it will be hard to find a good replacement for him, so it’s better to keep him rather than selling him.
Morata’s agent, Juanma López, visited yesterday the offices at Santiago Bernabéu stadium where he showed some offers coming from Chelsea. The ‘Blues’ are the team showing more interest in the player, especially the coach Antonio Conte, who trained Morata back in Torino two years ago and want to sign him for his new project at South West London.
The club told Juanma López that Morata was not for sale and he should stay the next season at Real Madrid. No matter the offer, the Madrid-born striker will play next year for Los Blancos. The club doesn’t want to risk by selling a young player who is improving a lot in the last few months and miss an international star for the next years.
Actually, Morata played a good Euo tournament, scoring 3 goals in 4 games with Spain. In Juventus he also played a key role in the Coppa Italia title and played really well in the last 16 games against Bayern Munchen in Champions League.
Several Premier League teams have already asked to Real Madrid about Morata’s situation. Chelsea is especially interested but also Manchester City, Manchester United or Arsenal. Atlético de Madrid also showed some interest two weeks ago but the Spanish team received the same answer: Morata is not for sale.
