Argentinean goalkeeper Sergio Romero has emerged as an option in goal for Real Madrid should other targets sign this summer.
Los Blancos are on the lookout for goalkeeping reinforcements after captain Iker Casillas left to join Porto after 25-years at the club.
The 10-time Champions Leagues winners have been linked all summer long with a move for Manchester United man David de Gea. So far, United have refused to sell their number one and he is currently on tour with the Red Devils in the USA. The Real directors are confident they can get their man – identified as Casillas’ long-term successor at club and country.
But should they be unable to pull off that signing, Los Blancos have been looking at other options. Kiko Casilla has been identified as a replacement for Casillas although Espanyol have said the keeper will not be sold for less than 4 million euros.
Now Madrid-based daily Marca has claimed Real are considering Romero as an option in goal. The shot stopper is currently without a club after leaving Sampdoria at the end of last season. Reports had said he was close to a move to Roma. but after a call from Madrid, he has delayed making a decision until things become clearer at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Romero is good keeper. There is no mistake if he come to Real Madrid.
He is a CHAMPION!!!!
HALA MADRID Y NADA MAS!!!!
It is hard for me to understand how Real Madrid want to be on top but refuse to sign players that can achieve that goal .
I understand that they can’t buy every player out there. But there are key players that can help the team to win. There is a need of fighting spirit, players who are willing to give everything to win games . Arturo V is a player that Real need in the midfield. D. De Gea must be the #1 focus for now.
I don’t understand. has real Madrid forgotten German brent Leno? he is very good and I heard real used to want him. what has changed?
