Florentino Pérez had lunch with Valencia’s board on Sunday prior to the game at Bernabéu Stadium. According to the press, both teams talked about Denis Cheryshev future.
The youngster arrived at Valencia in the winter transfer window. The Russian player had played only 7 games in these months for Valencia due to a thigh injury. However,
Cheryshev have scored three goals and he’s very appreciated by the Valencia supporters.
Cheryshev’s contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2017 but Valencia wants to keep the player for next season. Real Madrid is keen to sell but the club wants between 15M and 20M €. However, Valencia is not willing to pay such amount of money, especially after all the injuries suffered by Cheryshev.
The winger will be always linked to the Real Madrid exit of Copa del Rey this season in Cadiz. Despite this problem, Cheryshev has showed this year that he’s capable to play for a top team in La Liga.
