Real Madrid signed Vallejo in the summer of 2015 but he finally could enjoy his moment. Florentino Pérez unveiled Jesús Vallejo in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium with a lot of journalists waiting for the moment: “Thanks for the confidence Real Madrid had given me. I want to give it back in the pitch”.
Jesús Vallejo will have the number 3 on his t-shirt and he’s the first player to be unveiled at the stadium. On Monday, we’ll heard Theo Hernández first words after the announcement of his signing. The defender is only 20 years old and the last two season he was given on loan to Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The young player shone in Germany, showing his great skills in a competitive league. He was even to reach the final of the German Cup with his team, although they weren’t able to win the title. Now, he will be Pepe’s replacement in the squad as the fourth full back and another youngster in this squad with a lot of future.
“I’m convinced that with humble, sacrifice and work, values that my parents gave me, I’ll achieve the challenges of the best club in the world. The receivement was great and I want to thank everybody. I’m happy to take this challenge and this responsibility and I’ll give everything for this badge. Hala Madrid!”, the youngster said in the press conference at the stadium.
Florentino Pérez was next to Vallejo, who played the final of the Euro Championship U-21 recently, and he spoke about the project: “Real Madrid are making history again with a double that we didn’t do it for a long time. We are working to improve this great team. We have a great squad, but we want to make a step further to strengthen this dressing room”, the president said.
