Luke Modric says Real Madrid are hungry to score more goals and keep the winning run going.
Los Blancos defeated Granada 4-0 on Saturday afternoon with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and a James Rodriguez double. The 10-time Champions League winners have now scored 37 goals in their opening 10 league games.
But Modric says scoring goals makes the players determined to score even more as they enjoy it so much.
Speaking to journalists after the game in Granada, he said: “We need to continue this run and we’re very happy with the way we’re playing. We’re in incredible form. We want to be comfortable in games and we played well from the kick-off. The team wants more, and the more goals we score the more we want. It’s always difficult to win in Granada but we deserved the victory.”
The midfielder was also asked about his increasing impressive partnership in the middle with Toni Kroos and how the German compares to Xabi Alonso.
And Modric responded: “Xabi Alonso was an excellent player for us, but Kroos and I are playing better and better every game. We’re steadily getting to know each other and we know what we want to do on the pitch. I think that we’re playing very well defensively.”
