Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas says the club is heading in the right direction and he is confident of success at the end of the season.
Los Blancos are playing catch up with Barcelona having lost 4-0 in the Clasico in November and have also lost to Sevilla and Villarreal in the league. Those defeats have prompted huge questions to be raised over Real’s ability to compete for the top trophies while they have left boss Rafa Benitez under huge pressure.
But Navas says the players are all pulling in the right direction and working hard to make the fans happy come the end of the campaign.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the shot stopper said: “We are fully aware of the challenges that face us. We’re doing great work on a daily basis.
“While it might be true that in some matches that great work hasn’t come across, I’m certain we’re on the right track and that at the end of the season our fans will feel extremely proud of all of us who train on the daily at Valdebebas. The work we are doing is truly excellent.”
He added: “The expectation is that we will be fighting for everything, and I’m certain Real Madrid will do that.”
